Statement
The work of Nika Radic has taken many forms but her interest always remained the same. It points out our daily misunderstandings and finds the rare moments when a communication can actually be understood. It seems communication is sometimes successful but the message we can be sure to understand is usually very minimal. Sometimes a space is defined in such a way that people will move in the same way. Sometimes it is an everyday situation we all recognize and can project our own experience to the movements of other people. However, it seems this is all limited and a lot of what we say has to rely on another, nonverbal, level of communication. This level is something that is the core of Nika’s interest.
